Packing List

Be prepared for many chances in the weather. In the summer pack a sweater and raincoat. Rain gear is necessary all year around. Bring a sweater for the cool evenings. Standard shoes are OK if you do not plan to be hiking. You can buy most things. Bring only medical supplies suggest by your doctor. What ever type of photo equipment that you are comfortable with. A good flash is needed in the caves. You can rent most of the equipment from camping grounds. If you are camping in the dunes carry extra long wooden pegs to vasten down your tent. Camping stove gas can be purchased at most camping stores.

I would have to say a backpack. Unless you are rich enough to take a taxi everywhere who picks you up and drops you off exactly where you need to be. The airport type of suitcases simply don't work outside an airport. The sidewalks are often irregular and your suitcase will tip over. All the time. spring and summer: A sweater, long sleaved shirts, jeans or other long, warm pants a t-shirt, shorts, good walking shoes that are waterproof. (Waterproof)Jacket. Umbrella.fall and winter: A sweater, long sleaved shirts, jeans or other long, warm pants a t-shirt, a heavy sweater. Make sure you can dress in layers. Heavy waterproof jacket. UmbrellaWeather is very unpredictable for example march, april and october can have T-shirt and even shorts weather, but they can also have snow! Summers aren't necesarally hot, or cold, it can be anywhere from 13 degrees to 30 degrees celcius. Do check the...

Just bring along the usual travel necessities, we do have everything around here I guess, and if you think not, just ask for it here and we'll tell you. Do not forget to bring an umbrella, it sure can rain. But it's not so bad after all, especially when you're at the coast. Also, do bring a coat or a shawl, it can be windy and when travelling by train or metro, it's dirty sometimes. Headache pills are usefull, we do have them here, but not so strong as in some other countries. (We have things like Aleve and Aspirine). Bring a tent that can stand the rain and heavy winds and that does have a good soil protection. Grounds are soft and drassy?( thats wet and with sand and mud)and with lots of grass. Life is relaxed here, do not worry about forgetting something. Only bring your passport and money, then everything will go well.

Mosquito Repellent!

Bring a travel mozzie net and some good mozzie terminator. They are evil here in the evenings! If camping, long sleeves and clothing that will protect you from the evil mozzies.

Rain gear

by didgeridorien

It tends to rain here every now and then, in summer to, so bring an umbrella or rain gear.

Climate

The Netherlands is a Northern European climate and can be rather cool. Remeber to bring a jacket or sweater even in the summer.

For 'grounded' plugs, the Schuko" plug and receptable with side grounding contacts is used (see picture)The receptable will also accept the not-grounded plug shown in the previous tip.
