This boulder of 23,000 kg was found in 1959 west of Borger.
It was brought there 150,000 years ago during the second-last Ice Age, from the Aland Islands near Finland.
The stone is made of rapakivi, which is Finnish for "crumbly rock".

This is not a hunebed, but a statue made by Ton Kalle in 1992.
It is located close to the hunebeds D21-D25 near Bronneger.
The three stones weigh 12,000 kg together.
It is part of 7 statues made out of stone, along the bicycle route "Flintenroute" (40 km)

About 20 minutes walking from the Hunebed Centre, there is a cluster of 5 hunebeds, D21-D25.
They are located between Borger and Drouwen. The route to these hunebeds is indicated from the Hunebed Centre with signs saying "Bijvoetpad" (about 20 minutes walking).

The dolmens consist of stones weighing some 20 tonnes. The stones come from Scandinavia during the ice age and the graves are even older than the pyramids or Stonehenge. Some 500 years.

Next to the dolmen is a visitor's centre and tearoom. The activities focus a lot on children who can do drawings, questionnaires and such to learn about old stones and prehistoric times.
