Rixt is a trendy Euro-Mexican dinner café in the center of Nes. Stylish interior and good service is combined with delicious food. Cool lounge music completes the atmosphere for a very relaxed, enjoyable evening.
Favorite Dish: Beef tagliato - delicious fresh beef tatare
Vissalade - Salad with fresh surimi and shrimps
Grilled steak fajitas - Mexican dish gorgeously prepared

Little pushed back in a corner, this restaurant is surely worth a visit. It is serving great bourgondian dishes in a traditional setting (the interior is old fashioned and has many horse-related items hanging around.

According to the name one would think a realtion with the "Drie Schalken", but nothing true about that. Just the rhyme that refers to the Amelander weapon and flag (see local custom tips).
Favorite Dish: Tonny de Jong and Joke Gouma do welcome you in their restaurant that serves specialities from Ameland as well as Frysian recepies. Also special dishes for vegetarians.

Good dining facilities with as speciality fish menu's. Atmosphere is cosy and pleasant.
Favorite Dish: "Amelander Meerval", a deliscious sweet water fish, specialy "grown" on the island.

Offering the most space inside and on the terrace, restuarant Heeckeren is bringing a standard menu in combination with several specialities from Ameland. A perfect place to have lunches as well.
