It's a tiny village with a little church and some houses around it.
The church is worth a visit. It has a beautifully woodcarved arch in it. The bell was thrown into the IJsselmeer during the Second World War and fished up again and put back in the belfry.
Fondest memory: Visiting the house of an old friend who grew up there 70 years ago. He'd left nearly 60 years ago and we made some pictures for him.
The picture is not the friend but a local who only spoke Frisian, which is not too easy to understand for Dutch speaking folk!
