Natuurhistorisch Museum 't Fügelhûs
The museum mostly shows stuffed birds of the area. It was a collection birds of the Kalsbeek family and was brought here by a foundation of volunteers now showing this collection to the public.
It is a nice way to show your kids what a particlar species of bird look like, so they can recognize them in free nature. For kids ther is a special puzzle experience in the museum.

The museum is part of the Ald Faers Erf Route. If you buy a passe-partout, for all participating museums:

This is a route of approx. 25 km. along tiny frysian villages like Allingawier, Exmorra, Ferwoude and Piaam, where you can see in order of place:

Piaam has only 5 or 6 houses, but also has this nice church.

The restaurant has a very relaxed athmosphere. There is a lot to see during dinner, because it has a magnificent roof construction, art collection etc.
A nice terrace overlooking the fields of Friesland.
