More information on Apeldoorn can be found on Apeldoorn site, in Dutch but I think you can get around just fine.

Favorite thing: Visit the royal palace Het Loo. Here former kings and queens lived in there modest 'Versailles of The Netherlands'. Especially the gardens are beautiful with their synchrone pathstructure, the wonderful fountains and plants and flowers. By the way, 'Het Loo' actually means 'The Water', something that had to be transported from a place few kilometres away.
Fondest memory: Strawl across the gardens and enjoy the sun on the patio, while listening to sound of falling water in the fountain-ponds.

Favorite thing: This is a picture of the park Berg-en-Bos. It is a park with a forest and a lake. The most interesting part of it is the wild park of Apenheul, an incredible area where different species of apes, monkeys and other kinds of animal roam free among the visitors. A great experience (I have gone there many times and I enjoy it more and more).
