If you want to see designs for a new garden (from a small city patio to a large garden) then this is the place to be. Almost 200 garden are on display and you can learn a lot here.
And if you don't have a garden, you can still come here, walk, and enjoy thousands of flowers and plants.

I really liked these little fountains. The stone balls have a hole in the top and water gently flows out of it.

Stoomgemaal de Tuut
The De Tuut steam-driven pumping station in Appeltern was built in 1918 and was for decades one of the eight pumping stations controlling the water level in the "Land van Maas en Waal". ("Land van Maas en Waal" is the name of a region in the province of Gelderland consisting of polders between the rivers Maas and Waal. The latter being the main branch of the Rhine).

10 & 11 May National day for windmills and pumping stations 11.00 - 17.00 hrs.
8 & 9 June Whit Sunday/Monday 11.00 - 17.00 hrs.

From 10 May to 14 September:

The visitor's center has a restaurant where you can enjoy coffees, cakes, a lunch or dinner. We were invited for a buffet meal, so I can't say anything about prices. It was a reasonable dinner though.

The place is decorated with pictures of fairy tails, and the waitresses are dressed as persons from the fairy tails.
They have special actions and animations for kids... (so don't go here if you're looking for a quiet place).
The pancakes are extra large and delicious.
Favorite Dish: Pancakes of course... and the soup was great as well.

Pancakes are the maindish here! But no ordinary pancakes! Big ones, you can see the pancake as a kind of Dutch pizza.
Favorite Dish: Ofcourse pancakes! I like'em with all kinds of meat and fruits!
