The restaurant Het Jachthuis is situated at a bungalow park. You can get various food: wild, a la carte dishes, snacks or a pizza.
I had a coupon for a 3 course meal for 2 persons. As a starter there are 4 different soups, main course you can choose from wild, meat, fish & vegetarian and dessert was a surprise of the chef. I took tomato soup, the meat dish for main course and the dessert was ice cream with wipped cream. Allthough the meat was really good, it was too salted for me. But for other people it would have been allright.
The coupon was € 29 for 2 persons. But normally it is € 30 for 1 person. Beverages are € 2.25.

VSM is an organisation that is completely ran and financed by volunteers and sponsors. It is amazing that the hobby of these men and women guarantees the pleasure of tourists that travel by these magnificent trains and against such low tarifs (see VSM website).

The VSM in Beekbergen is actually mostly a Dutch holiday activity. Many of the families that are camping in the Veluwe-forests, also take a trip to Beekbergen and a ride on the steam train between Apeldoorn and Dieren. Foreigners often are Germans, of which we always also get quite a few on the Veluwe campgrounds. Others ... well, they are all very welcome and I hope to get positive reaction if you do. For families with children, this definately is a recommendation from me to do.
