Favorite thing: Ever heared of Heinz? Ever heared of tomatoeketchup? Well, here in Elst is one of the largest factories that manufactures this red deliscious sauce. Heinz is already connected to Elst for a whole century and exports the ketchup throughout the whole world. For me always a funny thing to put ketchup on my hamburger in the States, to find out that the bottle comes from a place three kilometres from my home.

Favorite thing: Long long time ago, people already settled in Elst. Only recently many graves of the Batavians have been discovered near the Elster churchtower of Saint Werenfried. This tower is very typical in it's architecture and a beautiful sight at night when it is brightly aluminated.
Fondest memory: Rijkerswoerdse Plassen is just on the territory of Elst manucipal and not even a kilomtre from my home. Here I remember a starry starry night.

Elst is situated in the riverlands, between the (neder = lower) Rhine and the Waal. north the city of Arnhem is approaching with his new-building-areas and just a few kilometres South Nijmegen does......
