Storks in the Ooijpolder - a charming couple, as a matter of fact. We thought they may have been "Jan" and "Marie", the well-known couple from nearby Zyfflich just across the German border - but it is always hard to tell with storks. October 2005 during a biking trip on a Sunday afternoon.

So-called Wilderness trip with "het Wilderniscafe" - the Wilderness Cafe - in Kekerdom as our point of departure. A guided tour on bike, that took us across the river Rhine. During our trip we saw these birds: Great Egret (Latin: ardea alba, in Dutch 'zilverreiger') which are said to be very rare in our country!
