Free bicycle stabling
In the city centre it is not allowed to park your bicycle everywhere. If you want to be sure it is still were you left it when you come back I would advise you to put it in the bicycle stabling that can be found at the Keizer Karel Plein corner Bischop Hamer Straat

Busses in all directions
Next to the train station you will find a bus stop, from here the busses are going to all parts of the city.
Tickets are cheaper if you buy a big card with 15 stripes at the small bus office in the train station, than if you buy them in the bus.
Be aware that there are always two busses that have the same number. So if you travel by bus pay attention to the direction. Information about busses and time tables can also be found in the station and on the boards on the square.

Fly almost directly from London to this area.
Since the 1st of may Ryanair flies directly to Laarbruch or it's official name now is Dusseldorf Niederrhein. There are several direct flights from and to London Stansted.
In the near feature Ryanair will fly to several other european destinations.
Although the airport is in fact in Germany, it is easy to reach from Nijmegen and is approx. 30 km away.

Take train or bus. Or come by bike. If you use your car, specially in summertime, you might end up in a big traffic jam. Besides, parking is only possible with use of a special 'chipper'-card (for Dutch people only) or creditcard. Not very friendly, sorry.
If you use a (hired?) bike, you can put it into a watched parking place FOR FREE! Ask just anybody for the place. People will know and tell you.

From St. Anthonis I take a interurban bus to the station in Boxmeer, an other small town, 3 miles east from St. Anthonis, to take train to Nijmegen (regular services throughout the week).
Boxmeer has nice buildings as well, see above.
By urban bus of the company Novio, by interurban bus of several companies.
Where is Nijmegen
This map is to give you an idea where Nijmegen is located. The other red dot is the town where I live, Oldenzaal.
German bus no. 58 will take you cross the border to Kleve and from there you can take a train all the way to Dusseldorf and also till Weeze, which is by the Niederrhein international airport.
