Parking has become a tricky business after the city of Nijmegen decided to make new parkingmachines. Now you can only pay with pincard, creditcard or the so called 'chipknip'. Coins are no longer a solution, something that leads to many disappointments by people that are unaware of this change. Before you know it you have to park your car far outside ijmegen, to take a training for the Fourdays-march to get into the inner ring.

If you planning to visit Nijmegen by car, you will notice it’s hard to find parking space, and if you find parking space… you have to hope you can pay with coins. So if you enter one of the parking garages pay attention to the signs. Those will show you if it is possible to pay with coins. You will notice that at many parking places you can only pay with a so called ‘chipknip’ bank our credit card.
Parking tip: Eiermarkt parking garage (here you can pay with coins)
