After the walk at the park we came here for some drink and snacks. We had Grolsch Bok bier and Bitterballen (Potato croquettes).
This is one of the few hotel and restaurant in Winterswijk. We did not stay here so I am not able to tell how much it cost per night.
Private parties can also be held here and my friend said they celebrated his dad's birthday here once.
Favorite Dish: Bitterballen and Grolsch Bok bier( this is winter bok beer).
Our bil came to Euro11.60. We had 4 Grolsch Bok bier which cost Euro1.90 each and 8 Bitterballen which cost Euro0.50 each.

The beer is fantastic here and friendly staff, lots of beautiful waitress. The food is delicious.

Favorite Dish: They have a set menu for dinner 2 course meal for Euro 12.50. ( 3 different set to choose from i.e. Salmon with salad, Chicken with mushroom, German steak and dessert, Onion soup and pork filet with mustard sauce.
The menu is in Dutch and German as this town is located near the Germany border. The mixed grill is very delicious and the pork with mustard sauce and French onion soup is very yummy.
De Woord: Spread De Woord
De Woord is situated in one of the small "buurtschappen", neighbourhoods, of Winterswijk, called Corle. We ate in a perfectly renovated old barn. The old roof is visible through a glass ceiling. The diner consisted of 7 courses, all perfect. The meat as well as the fish courses. There are just a few tables, very friendly and attentive waiters. Value for money.

De Gulle Waard: Goat @ its best
This slow food restaurant offer a Flemish cuisine in Gelderland. It uses local products and, most importantly, offers very good goat recipes. Not everybody likes goat meat, but we do, and we had a great variety of courses too. The other dishes were perfect too.
The restaurant is near the city center, yet in a very rural setting, with an unused watermill. It must be lovely in summer.
