This restaurant is located at a small square, the Houtmarkt.
Since it was raining, we had to sit inside.
It was very busy, which is always a good sign for a restaurant.
We got a small table for two in the old basement, which was really cosy and gave the restaurant an extra dimension. It was a bit hot down there however.
I had the mixed grill, which came with a lot of meat and small boiled potatoes, salad and an excellent sauce.
My girlfriend had a vegetarian pizza, also very good.
We went to this restaurant because it was listed as one of the restaurant on a dinner-voucher that I got as a present (Tapas for two, distributed by Hema shops).
The dinner had 5 courses and all of them were good!
Also the vegetarian option was nice according to my girlfriend.
We don't often eat in hotel restaurants but, an exception this time, here is a vegetarian restaurant. A great treat for Mrs Bonio and enjoyed by myself too. Very good food, we both couldn't resist the curry, and baked apple for me to finish with, all nicely cooked with friendly service and help translating the menu. Were a little concerned there may be no alcohol, needn't have worried - good beer and wine choice. All at a sensible price in pleasant surrondings.
Closed on Mondays, would have eaten there twice otherwise.
The Brasserie 6 is the restaurant of the Eden Hotel Zutphen.
I't a small long side building in a 400 year old setting with a modern interior.
Expect high cuisine: art work food.
Favorite Dish: Salmon starter.
Any main course.
A nice lunch in a busy place. There's a non-smoking area upstairs and everyone comes here: old people, young families, friends...
Favorite Dish: Very nice tomato soup and huge sandwiches.
Including drinks and cofee, we spent € 22,80 for two persons.
Koffie- & Theehuis De Pelikaan specializes in coffee and tea. It is both a store, where you can buy any kind of coffee or tea in existence, and a small café where you can enjoy the wares, and even order a full-blown High Tea, with scones, sandwiches and, of course, tea.
Favorite Dish: The High Tea is a lot of fun, and a perfect way to conclude a daytrip to Zutphen.
We had a free cup of coffee with apple pie here.
The free cup of coffee came with the tickets for the canal tour with the electrical whisperboat.
Great view over the river IJssel.
A Turkish And Italian restaurant under one roof. Good vegeaian pizza for Mrs Bonio and pirzola (spicy lamb cutlets for me) went down a treat. No photo, sorry, there was a truck parked right in front!
