Zutphen is at the crossing of several railway tracks.

The main line is coming from Zwolle via Deventer leading to Arnhem and Nijmegen, served by the NS company.
Smaller lines run to Apeldoorn, Hengelo and Winterswijk, served by the Arriva- and Syntus companies.

The Zutphen train station dates from 1865.

  • How to get there and how to get around

Zutphen can be easily reached by car or train. It is close to major highways and has a regular (half hour) train connection with several other cities.

Since the town is old and the streets in the center are narrow, getting around Zutphen is best done by bicycle or on foot. It is possible to rent a bike from the railwaystation.
