The servants could sit on a little terrace overlooking the moat ... if they got time for it ... I bet a household was quite some more work than we know now!
This is the main hall. The four seasons are done in white stuc and overall the hall is decorared in a simple yet effective manour.
Part of the manor. In the old days in use as stable, nowadays it s a restaurant with some large halls for parties.
Favorite Dish: Only had the coffee once and that was good enough.
At Wednesday from 1400 hours up to 1600 hours you can have a milkshake for 1 € only!
Btw, we loved the icecream!
In the back the waiting facility for the bus where it s written : Lalkens ruleeez!!
We had a walk in the parc just behind the manor. There was a little box where we had to put in 50 € cents, which we off course did.
Many people had carved their initials and those of their loved one in the tree. My kids quite got the giggles of it.
On the photograph some curious part of a tree stem.
haha saw that sign too late!! unfortunately I could not take a photograph of it for the keepers of the manor were watching me! would have given myself away.

Mmmmm, just lit my cigarette ... naaah . .. this is rural province of Groningen, prolly no hidden cameras .... oh well .... never mind ... getting rid of that cigarette already ... sigh
This indeed is a toilet ... right into the moat .. yet not to be used.... if ya gotta go , go into the cellar , there s the toilets!
Drive to Froombosch and take first turn left . You will then come to some old polder land with 2 beautiful mills. Two in a neighbourhood called Ruiten (see my Ruiten page) and one in Slochteren, just opposite the manor Fraeylema.
