    Church in Garrelsweer

Fondest memory: It is nice to see such a lovely church ,it also has a very well kept cemetary .
The church is very nice looking, and after several attempts to retsore this church it was finally demolished and in 1912 a newer church was built the church is a dutch reformed church.

    Window, Garrelsweer

Favorite thing: If you are walking the streets of Garrelsweer look for funny little things like this double window.
I asked my father why that was and he told me the house is being renovated and the old walls and windows will be replaced by new ones.
Seems the people that lived here found an old paper attached to a wall : 'In 1914 this old house has been completely renovated.'
Haha, as long as I know of it and visited there, it s been an old dumpster!
So funny this sort of things!

Favorite thing: This is the monument in memorance of the few jew people that disappeared from the community during WW II.
It is good to have it in our little village for we always knew where their butchery was but never could connect people with it.

Favorite thing: Go into the countryside too. Going northeast in the direction of Delfzijl, you'll pass the village I was born in: Garrelsweer. A nice little village, peacefull and quiet.
    To give you an impression:

Fondest memory: Skating on the canals while now and again stopping to take a picture e.g. from a frozen tree. I did it while laying on the ice.
