This picture is from the Vismarkt. On the square in front of the Korenbeurs you can buy everything from flowers to fish.
Opening times:
tuesday to saturday : 08.00-17.00
thursday : 12.00-21.00

The synagogue, the rabbinate house and the houses, where once Jew and Dutch lived peacifully together are still standing as silent witnesses of a lost fight between tolerance and misunderstanding.
Finally the synagogue became sjoel again after being laundrette for years and a brothel disappeared from the rabbinates house.
The old multi color returned. This is just one street, every street has its own history. Where possible, I will add this information.
The Folkingestraat nowadays is a colourful street where one can shop multi culti.
Especially in summer it is a bit as if the old times re-live: lot of folks in the street, people sitting out side, music, talking.
On the photograph you can see the shop where once was a horse butcher. A tile plaque at the left still reminds us of it. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Between Fish market and Zuiderdiep.

There's this cute tiny comic/cartoon items shop on the side of the road between Grote Market and the train station, you'll see a spongebob or a betty boop t-shirt smirking at you
To get there:
Ok, so you're standing in front of Albert Heijne Supermarket building in the middle of Grote Market
If your back is facing Albert Heijn, take your right and keep keep walking straight down the alley...as if your walking towards the cinema or the train station
You'll probably find a spongebob staring at you from your right
