Foltz farm Meeden

This farm is a hundred years old and is opened all through the year.
In the holiday season they often open up for 3 weekends on a row for a special X-mas fair.
Table pieces can be bought, as x-mas decorations.
One can taste special cheeses and take the favourite home.

A special gesture for all guests during x-mas fair is a warm applejuice drink with herbs...mmm not bad at all :-)

Foltz: Another lovely statue

Statue, Meeden

At the back of the farm decorative elements are places in a nice way, makes you wanna snoop and scoop some nice things.
There s also a conservatory, not opened to public on this specific day, but I guess they grow their special plants there.

What to buy: This is another statue I would have loved to take home with me and place somewhere in the garden. If only I had room to make a kind of meditative corner in my postage_stamp of a garden!

Foltz: Statues of saints

Statue of a saint, Meeden

Where once the cows stood in a so called Dutch stable (cows placed with the heads to the wall) nowadays is a little shop.
Not refurbished, just re-decorated with nice things to take home: old imported things like christmass balls from Czech and lots of other stuff.
They also sell plants and flower pieces.

What to buy: I would have loved to take one of the statues back home but firstly they were to expensive *my problem ;-)* and secondly I do not have room to place them.
But I just loved this one....and the window behind it.

Church with seperate tower

Meeden church

Favorite thing: The church stands somewhat away from the main road Hereweg (in the old days road for the army) because the village moved somewhat to the south, away from the church to higher sandy ground.
Once Meeden had a little chapel but that has been replaced by the church we see now.

Farm Meeden

Favorite thing: Old glory, nowadays maintanance often forces owners to sell their property off but many a time farmers survive.
