Along de Wadwerder road are some beautiful large farms and majestic villa's.
In the centre of the village is the famous Berlage-house.
This municipal building dates from 1930 and was designed by the well known Amsterdam architect H.P. Berlage.
Now the building is in use as an office.
The corn mill Eva is also worth a visit. The mill dates from 1891.
Also in the centre of Usquert: the church from the 12th/13th century.
The outside walls were plastered in neo gothic style in 1863.
The tower dates from 1869.
If you take the road north, just above Usquert, you will end up in Noordpolderzijl, a very special yacht and fisher's men harbour.
When you drive up the road towards the dyke you might think the road leads to nowhere, but have faith... you won t be disappointed.
There s a pub too and when you grow tired of watching over the Wadden, watching people coming or going mud walking, or just are getting cold, have a drink in the pub.
