The law actually mentiones that when someone wants to start-up a coffeeshop a city/town/village cannot reject that unless there is already one or there are other circumstances.
Brunssum is one of these places that is able to reject coffeeshops due to other circumstances. No weed in Brunssum. If you desperately need some, head over for Heerlen, or go the "Akerstraat-Noord" on the edge with Brunssum, there you will find some (busline 1 towards Kerkrade get off at Emma busstation, cross the roundabout and you will see one).
Because you can find coffeeshops on this street, Brunssum is able to reject any in their own town.
Not that smoking weed is massively popular anyways.. don't think we cannot live without it.

If you're in Brunssum you have to go to the nature parks. It is called "de Brunssummerheide", and has a wide range of meadows, forrests and even a beach. You can take a nice long walk and in the winter you could even go skiing. It is a beautiful scenery for nature admirers.
