Unfortunately the many rosegardens were not yet in bloom.
While you pass through them, you get a lot of explanation about roses, rosegrowing and the history of roses. As well as the prizewinning roses (if they are in bloom of course!).
I guess June would be a good time to visit because in May there were not yet many roses.
The little white sign attached to the wall says:
"29 January 1995
Waterlevel, flooding by the Maas
25 December 1993"
Behind it an Asian watergarden
You'll find these houses originally in Indonesia or probably in other Asian countries as well. And in Arcen!
At Arcen Kasteeltuinen are many show gardens that can inspire you for your own garden (how's that for an ad?!).
Hmmm, I am so dumb about flowers and bushes. I don't know names but I liked these colourful little ones.
After crossing the tree bridge you enter a dark wooded area with birds (owls), deer and this lovely little piggy.
