there are really nice places at Maastricht.
Close to the river (De Maas) you see this old house dated from 1696!
Stroll along the city...
there are small squares, little squares, bigger squares... but no matter the size, it will be populated with people enjoying a drink or a special fruitcake from Maastricht!
There are several remainings of the fortifications.
On some places you can see the names of the 'Bastion'.
Fondest memory: St Amorplein ... Maastricht is filled with little cosy squares like this were people can enjoy a drink in the sun
Favorite thing: Just stroll aimlessly in the medieval labyrinth and you'll find quite some interesting shops and cafes.
Favorite thing: This is a drawing of the Market in Maastricht. In this building the mayor has his office. It's also the place for weddings.
Favorite thing: Dinghuis (Kleine Staat 1). It's located in the heart of the shopping district. Nowadays the tourist information centre is located here. So this is probably your first stop in Maastricht.
Favorite thing: This is the city-arms of Maastricht. You will see it everywhere. You may even find chocolates shaped like this. Check out 'Chocolaterie Olivier Bonbons', Kesselskade 55. Yummy.
Take a look at the old city from the opposite side of the Maas.
Fondest memory: There are some old fortifications left that give you a very nice view.
Fondest memory: I lived here for some time and so this City is special to me..........have a good look at this beautiful bird's eye view! Isn't that great????
