Int Brookx restaurant: On the marina in Stevensweert
by Panos1111
Overlooks the marina. I was going to recommend it when I realized that they charged us for tap water as Spa Blauw (E1.40 each, never saw the Spa bottles) and the mayonnaise for the fries (E0.80 each)! We were asked whether we wanted mayonnaise with the meals but were not told that we were going to be charged for it. Another thing: I ordered a Heineken and got a glass of beer, ie I did not see the Heineken bottle or can and was not told it was going to be draft or asked whether I would prefer draft. Good food. Had schnitzel with champignonssaus (E10.90) and tomatosoup (E3.25, incl. bread and butter, surprisingly they didn’t charge for it!)). Friendly service (only on the surface as it proved).5 Aug 2006
Eeser Hepke: Great for a lunch stop
by tompt
The Eeser Hepke is a restaurant located in an old farmhouse in Eys. The surroundings of Eys are great for walking or making a tour on your bike. When you are hungry or just like a break stop here for a cool beer and a sandwich. The sandwich Eeser Hepke toasted with cheese, honey and nuts is really a treat. As a dependance of the Tourist Info (VVV) they have some info leaflets about the surroundings too.
