Near Vaals, on the highest point of The Netherlands, the borders of Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands meet at the 'three country point'. This must be one of the most touristic spots of this province. A small monument marks the very point and the borders are indicated in the pavement, like a pie-diagram. Yep, if you're used to playing Twister you can be in three countries at the same time here. Until 1918 there was even a fourth country, the tiny Neutraal-Moresnet, the borders of which are indicated within the Belgian piece as it was incorporated into Belgium that year and was soon forgotten by the rest of the world.
There are several things to keep you (and your kids) busy, like a look-out tower and a labyrinth and the usual places to have a drink and a bite.
