Many to choose from: Restaurants in Berg en Terblijt
In Berg en Terblijt most hotels have restaurants, so the choices are wide ranged. Down the main road you will find them all.
Favorite Dish: We had breakfast at Huis aan de Rots and of course I love Dutch breaksfasts! Good start to an active day :-)

eetcafe Plaza: tapas and other snacks
This eetcafe is also serving tapas. But we only tried their sandwiches for lunch along with a good beer ofcourse.
The sandwiches were delicious, and the terrace is small but extremely well placed looking out over the centre of Valkenburg and in the sun for the entire day.
Tivoli: A drink in the woods
Tivoli looks like a cottage from a fairytale, a wooden house in the forest. It is at the beginning of the the footpath along the Geul and a place where you can have a drink before you start walking or one to relax after you come back. Ofcourse they do serve food too.
Brakke Berg: lunch on the sunny terrace
After a walk along the Geul this is the perfect spot to have lunch or just a drink at their sunny terrace. We once stopped there when Gonnie came back from walking to Meerssen and Tom was cycling in the neighbourhood coming down from the village Berg. A good place to meet and have lunch together. The sandwich was good but the beer was a little bit expensive.
Latinos: Cuban food
The restaurant Latinos has some great Cuban / Spanish food. Their tapas plate is just unforgetable. You can choose between tapas with fish, meat or mixed. Beside that they have other dishes which are great.
The terrace is at the end (or beginning, depending where you come from) of the Grote Straat. The only down point is you have to order a meal when sitting at the terrace after 4pm. So if you are looking for a nice place to have a drink take another terrace in this street, there are some pubs too ;-)
Amadeus: Service and good food
Amadeus is named after the famous composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
His style of working is the inspiration for this restaurant: Always perfection.
The food is looking and tasting just great. We had several things here on several occasions and were never disappointed.
Favorite Dish: Try the sate royal for lunch, and you don´t have to eat for a while.....
I forgot the name of this place, but I'm sure it was something like Plaza . Anyway, this is supposed to be a rock café but on this afternoon in early April we didn't really notice it, except that they said so on the menu. More important, they did have a heated terrace, a big screen to protect us from the rain, a nice choice of beer and good food and friendly service. A little expensive maybe, as I suppose everything in Valkenburg is, but it was enjoyable enough. I was gladly surprised to see that among their beers was Double Saison, a new beer that I hadn't tasted yet and that turned out to be very good. For lunch I had an 'uitsmijter', which is basically two slices of bread and a heap of fried egg with cheese and other stuff on it. Simple as this meal was, it tasted excellent and I guess worth the ca. 6 euros I paid for it. My wife, who unlike me rarely looks for the cheaper parts of the menu, had a pasta salad, which was quite good too, although I'd rather see she wouldn't spend 9 euros on a lunch.

Gaudi: spanish with colors
Restaurant Gaudi specialises in spanish dishes. At the weekends there is a spanish buffet to choose from. And you can always choose to have tapas (small spanish dishes). Six tapas of your choose for a menu.
The design of the restaurant is inspired by Gaudi. Many flamboyant colored mosaics.
China: Chinese indonesian
Another chinese restaurant is more specialized in buffets, availlable every weekend or on request for groups.
But you can also choose to order from the menu. The dishes we tried are good.
Favorite Dish: Buffet is not expensive and you can try everything.
Enjoy Bourgondian style food: Choice out of a 101 possibilities
Whether you sit down on the terrace of a little snackcorner or go inside and sit at a table in an exclusive restaurant ... everywhere one will serve you friendly and the food will be prepared with proper attention. Little sidedishes and a complete menu are a part of the Limburgian (read: Bourgondian) lifestyle that one knows so well "down" here. The only "but" is that - because of tourism - the prices are a little bit higher then the average level.
Gaudi: Great wraps for lunch
Gaudi is a restaurant that specializes in spanish tapas. There is a special tapasmenu.
They also have a many tables outside ( in the sun around lunchtime).
Favorite Dish: For lunch we like the wraps, which are served hot.
Vegetarian is the best, followed closely by the salmon and the chicken.
pizza bezorgen - afhalen: PIZZERIA AUGUSTO
pizza, s pasta frech good food chiper big pizza
Favorite Dish: pizza tacco--- fetuchini palermo---tagliatelli al salmone

International: Chinese specialities
Good chinese food, a little walk from the centre of town.
THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED.
During our last visit ( dec. 2008) we noticed the restaurant is no longer in business.
Kilise: Eating Turkish specialties in a protestant church!
A turkish restaurant is now situated in this former protestant church. It's in my opinion unique to get halal foods in a protestant church. Great turkish food!
