Veerhuys Tante Jet -- in English that would be Auntie Harriet, or "Auntie Harry at the Ferry" in Blitterswijck (it's across the river Maas from the village of Well). We drank some cappuccinos here, plus we rented two bikes for a trip through the countryside. A great success, we'd come by car from the railway station at the nearby town of Venray, but much to our dismay we couldn't rent any bikes there. At Tante Jet's place we rented the bikes for 8.50 euro/person for the entire day, plus a 20 euro deposit that was returned to us afterwards. They also run a camp site here, that focusses on water sports on the river Maas or Meuse.

Special attraction - you can cross lake Reindersmeer by means of a ferry that has to be pulled by hand!

The lake - unexpected beauty. It was very quiet. I think this was because there weren't a lot of places to park your car.
