Easy accessible by train
Due to some (temporary) health problems we had to travel by train for our Bergen op Zoom trip. I have to say the city is easy accessible by trains, operated by the Dutch railway company “NS”.
The railway station is located on the Roosendaal - Vlissingen line. From the most important Dutch cities in the western part of the country it is a rather short trip: for instance Amsterdam and Schiphol cost about 2 hours, Rotterdam is about 1 hour (sometimes you will have to change trains in Roosendaal). Vlissingen and Middelburg in the province of Zeeland are about 45 minutes away by train. Even Antwerp in Belgium is just 1 hour (change trains in Roosendaal also), which make it possible to make a day trip to this interesting city.
The railway station is located just outside the city center, about 600 meters away from the Grote Markt.

Getting there and away:
Bergen op Zoom has a trainstation. It is an easy way to travel. Amsterdam-Bergen op Zoom will cost you 2 hours. Rotterdam-Bergen op Zoom only one hour.
It's also easy to take the train from Bergen op Zoom to Breda (35 minutes) or Middelburg (....45 minutes?)
and Antwerp (almost 1 hour)
