    Grote Kerk

Favorite thing: You will not miss the Big Church (Grote kerk), also known as Onze-lieve-vrowe-kerk. It is the main Brabant Gothic building in the Netherlands and its beautiful single tower reaches 97 m. This building is very different from the kind of churches you can see in the Northern part of the country and it gives the city a more 'meridional' look. It is the real landmark of the city, since it is visible from the whole central area.

Favorite thing: Approaching Breda, you will recognise the beautiful tower of the Grote Kerk (or Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk) from far away. It dominates almost the whole of Breda.

Fondest memory: This building in a fine gothic style has been restored recently. The interior with the graves of the Breda Nassaus is wonderful.
