The church, a symbol of roman catholicism by Pavlik_NL In the Southern provinces Northern Brabant and Limburg, the majority of the people are roman catholic. In both provinces however this is taken quite differently as in Limburg they do practice it more and in Brabant there's a lit less of this. Here they more take only the benefits of it, by celebrating the yearly religious festivals in an intensive way (for example Carnaval), while not knowing what the interior of a church looks like and what it all actually means. A pitty, but that's just my opinion. Leave a Comment

Johan Cruyff on TV by Gili_S In the Netherlands football is the thing, and, as I visited Breda during the European football championship, everything had something to do with this, well, as long as they win. Leave a Comment

by sandravdp The visitors and staff of the amusementpark will always try to help you when you have questions. Most people (especially the staff) speak english and some (especially the staff) speak other languages too. On the picture: Blaga and me in the fowergardens of the Efteling. Leave a Comment

Monumenten (Will be edited in English soon!) Breda verwerft stadsrechten in 1252. Leave a Comment

Amsterdam may be a place to smoke pot but don't forget that it's not like that everywhere in Holland. People simple aren't as used to smelling pot, second most smokers are foreigner (in my town especially French) and it's not allowed to smoke on e.g. terraces, clubs, disco's, pubs, restaurants etc etc. Leave a Comment
