When you like to watch soccer a visit to NAC Breda or as "we" call it...The Pearl of the South is a must.
They play their homematches in a hyper modern stadium on saturday nights.
The supporters are called The Yellow Army and always support their hometeam with constant singing and sheering so they will make your visit one to remember!
Equipment: Buy a scarf or a cap....:-)

One of the top teams in the Netherlands, NAC play in a modern stadium on the edge of the city. I watched a game against Groningen, which was won 4-1 by the visitors. Bad day for NAC.
Very noisy crowd, supported their team well for most of the time, well until the 4th goal was scored anyway. B side is the place to sit. Be warned tickets are not on sale on matchday unless you are a member or have a reservation.

Like anywhere in the Netherlands football is the most popular sports here, I am not sure about Breda own club but at the time that I was here it was the national team competing for the European championships. That night is was Holland vs. Sweden game, but as you can see in this pictures, the fans were celebrating together, no matter who has won.

Every year, on the first sunday in October, you can run half a marathon in the "Singelloop". I've never tried it, as I don't see the point of making yourself tired just to get to the same point you started from.
