The attraction opened in 1998 and is now 15 years old. The theme comes from the story of Sinbad The Sailor. This theme is well reflected in the queue and the ride itself. The 650 meter long and 65 km / h fast roller coaster is completely covered and in absolute darkness when it opened. A few years later there are lighting effects added.more

You will notice that De Efteling is very clean and one of the reasons is these men aka "Big Mouth" they call the children to throw rubbish into their mouth, it makes it like a gameYou'll hear them shouting "Papier hier, Papier hier" Danku wel - when someone throws a piece in (Paper here, Paper here, Thank you)more
Most of the attractions have no height restrictions and sutable for all ages
The height restriction for these rides is 1.2m and it is strictly enforced for safety reasons so no trying to sneak your small child through then argue :Python, Flying Dutchman & Bird Rok
There is no height restriction for these attractions though Pegasus, Half Moon Pirate ship & Bobsleigh
In summer during weekends can be very bad of going to the parks like Efteling. It can be full of people, childrens to adults!! and you will wait in every attractions about 15 to 30 minutes even more longer than that.
Unique Suggestions: If going in weekends, It is best to go early so you can spend with more than 5 attractions until afternoon or even 9pm.
Weekdays is also a good idea of visiting this park, It's less crowded and you will enjoy more the rides than waiting and losing time to the lines.
Luggage and bags:
If you don't like the "fast food", it might be a good idea to bring your food with you.
And more than this you'll save in this way a lot of time.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Be ready for a rain... you are in Holland.
Photo Equipment: At least a camera.. you'll be amazed what you can do with it in Efteling :)
The only games you have to pay for in the Efteling but you can win prizes.
These fun fare games are usually rigged so I am not sure they are worth it!!
I was trying to find the history of this mascot but... nothing yet. I would appreciate if you'll share with me the information you have, if you have anything. But, what I can say is that "HE" is very well designed and coloured... Don't forget about his pair ... Pardijnmore
