Train, Eindhoven

Thanks Carin I know it is some time since you helped us but our trip is getting closer and I was looking at trains. Coulde we buy a return ticket from schipol to einhoven but get off at amsterdam for 2 days? or is that a bit cheeky?

Central Station is situated right in the citycentre of Eindhoven. You will find the bus station at the North end of Central Station. Other parts of the city, towns and villages are within easy reach by bus. Taxis are available outside Central Station at the North and South end as well.

Take the train!

The trains seems very reliable and are VERY on time.I found the prices fair enough. They are based on distance,class and return or not. Also, the payment is based on honor. You have to get your ticket froma machine or at the counter or Wizzl place and you might get your ticket inspected on the train.

It's a good thing to enquire about your itinerary beforehand thought because there are no maps inside the actual trains and you often need transfers.

A ticket to Schipol Airport is 15,60 euro

We flew to Dusseldorf 'cos it was closer to our destination.

Alternatively fly to Schipol!
You can hire a car quite easily, if the company is paying!!!

There is also an excellent train service, esp between Amsterdam and Eindhoven.
