Nationaal Oorlogs en Verzetsmuseum
The Dutch National War and Resistance museum shows why. Innumerable newspapers, photos, documents, posters, computerprograms, and films together with weapons and uniforms belonging to the allies, the nazi's and the Dutch National Socialist Movement make the history of the Second World War and the occupation of the Netherlands tangible. Daily life, military operations, the holocaust and the resistance are shown in almost 7000 m2 of permanent exhibitions together with temporary ones. The museum buildings are situated in a large park, the former battlefield, in which heavy military objects together with war monuments are on display.
