Together with the Anvers and Living restaurant the Sinjoor offers a kind of Antwerp atmosphere in the center of Tilburg.
Great terras for people watching and great dinner offers with a help yourself salade bar.

The Osaka restaurant is very well known in Tilburg, its of Chinese/Japanese origin although they will do normal European type food. Their specialities are theme nights, you can book for a party of maybe ten or twenty people, you pay a set price and eat as much as you want. Your food is supplied and cooked at your table and they will even supply you with Oriental style clothes to wear. Its a great place to have a party
Favorite Dish: I have tried the open buffet which means that you can try a bit of all different meals, its very good.

In the centre of Tilburg, there is a Mexican restaurant called Amigo’s. You can get all kinds of mexican dishes like tortilla’s, fajita and burrito’s. And all that for a reasonable price too.
Favorite Dish: The chicken fajita here is great.

Forget that other tip, where I don't recommend any restaurant. I'm going to recommend you this one. Well, perhaps not really recommend, I'd like to mention it because it's special
For all you dopeheads out there who only visit The Netherlands for canabis, hash, pot, weed, stuff or whatever, this is the place for you. Yes, it's a "coffeeshop". But, with a difference. It's also a restaurant. And while, unfortunately, in almost every restaurant in The Netherlands smoking is encouraged, you cannot usually use "stuff" but only the much more dangerous and more addictive nicotine. But here, you cannot only buy "stuff", you can smoke it too while enjoying an excellent meal. Excellent? Yes, the food really is great here. You can choose one of the more expensive dishes (still below 15 euros) but the specials of the day will only cost you 6,50 and are still, like I said, excellent. Because of the "coffeeshop" business they only serve non-alcoholic drinks here, but they do know how to make a nice cocktail without alcohol.
As a non-smoker myself I managed to sit here for about two hours without breathing- or eye-problems. Only when it became really crowded I had to leave and find me some fresh air. My wife bought a few joints and some weed. Nicely packed, cheaper than at some other places and, I must take her word for it, of superior quality.
Favorite Dish: The menu changes regularly, but if they happen to have a dessert named "Sticky Fingers", try it!

At diner time, you can eat as much as you like for one amount of money during two or three hours.
You can enjoy the most delicious dishes from all over the world.
The location is perfect, at the edge of the Leijpark

It's nothing much to look at from the outside, but it makes up for it inside. Excellent food and service, real man size portions of steak and basically any meats.
Good selctions of wines also
Favorite Dish: I enjoyed the mixed grill, a bit of everything.

There are many restaurants in Tilburg, but I don't really recommend any of them. Not since Zeezicht closed, the last good one.
Although without a doubt many serve good food, in all cases there's the risk the experience will be spoiled by someone in the same room lighting a cigarette or a cigar. And I only go to restaurants to enjoy the food and the drinks, not to inhale someone else's fumes. Makes sense, no? But if you don't mind about this, you have a choice. Only bear in mind that many places are closed on Mondays.
I do NOT recommend:
- Rhodos, Piusstraat 6. Greek food. The 'cook' smokes while preparing your dinner and uses the food for an ashtray. He thinks it's normal, I don't.
- Manana, Zwaanstraat 18. Tapasbar. Manana indeed, the service is lousy.
- Spicy, Stationstraat. Shoarma etc.. Avoid this place, even though its strategically located near the station. Some people call this place Spermy. During a routine check, health inspectors found that one of the ingredients of the garlic sauce was the sperm of several men who worked here. Of course they were fined, but it's still the same people!
Also the salads often have little animals in them that are without a doubt very useful in nature but that are not suitable for consumption by humans. Yep, I'm talking about bugs.
Of course you can always go to McDonalds. At least you'll know what to expect. And they're open every day.

Traditional, the Dutch people like to eat out the wall ;-) I make a better shot of this place when the weather conditions are better.
