Tilburg's nr. 1 record store is Tommy. Once they were elected second best record store of The Netherlands (Nr. 1 was Bullit in Eindhoven). This is not a shop for hitparade music, but they do have all styles of popmusic including lesser known artists as well as obscure ones. Aad's Platenzaak is a much smaller shop than Tommy's. Strong point though are the prizes. Owner Aad imports CD's directly from the USA where they are much cheaper. You will not find many older titles here, mostly new ones, except for second-hand. But there's the occassional collector's item and especially when you like Prince (I don't) this is the shop for you. One problem with this shop; Aad has the extremely annoying habit of suddenly putting on a record much too loud. Leave a Comment Theme: Music

In this small shop you'll find a lot of cd's and records for reasonable prices. You will also find a lot of special pressings and limited editions here. The owner, Aad, brings these cd's from his trips around the world.

The town centre of Tilburg, Centrum, is opened late on a thursday evening. And on the last Sunday of each month the shops in Centrum open also.
Clothes are good and most of the sports shops are good value.
