Bookshop Bek has set the new standard for bookshops in The Netherlands. It was elected as the country's most beautiful shop in 2002. They sell books, magazines, post cards, stationary, frames and everything that one needs to be an artist, and much more. You could spend 1 hour or more in this shop. The Patio shopping centre includes clothing, toys, sports and gifts shops as well as a bar with nice terrace. In total there are about 10 shops around the square. It was openend in the nineteeneighties.

The shop sells exclusive shoes with an above-average price, but not 'over the top'. It is situated in Veghel's sinagog. The sinagog was originally erected in 1832. The last main restauration took place in 2003.

The Kalverstraat is situated in the pedestrian zone in the center of Veghel. It is one of the oldest streets. Street and shops are small. There are clothes shops, butchers shops, bakeries etc. etc.
