Maurick Castle (formerly called Heymhuizing) is a castle in North-Brabant, Vught. It is located on an island in the river Dommel. The castle dates from ± 1400, and is no longer in their original state. In 1504-1509 it is probably rebuilt by Jan Heyns, one of the architects of the St. John's Cathedral in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
Vught has a small shopping centre, and it mainly contains shops for older women, over 35 i'd say. The shops I found that were quite nice, but also quite expensive are all next to or oposite the shopping centre's lengerie shop. If you would like better selection of shops, and younger styles its better to go to Den Bosch or Utrecht.
Vught has the loveliest chocolatier shop, with the best chocolate and cakes i have ever had. Its a bit on the expensive side also, but its a family run business and you wont find the same shop anywhere else.
What to buy: Chocolates and cakes, and some silk vests and silk and perl organza juelry in the shops next to lingerie shop.
What to pay: over 100 Euro if you are going to buy the clothes, and for cakes about 6 EUR per item i think
