Favorite thing: The Amsterdam Homomonument called Past, Present and Future consists of three stone triangles on the Westerkerk square; one is located at the Keizersgracht.

The monument was designed by Karin Daan and dates from 1987.

    The Homomonument:
-Commemorates all women and men ever oppressed and persuated because of their homosexuality
-Supports the Intenational Lesbiann and Gay Movement in their struggle against contempt, discremination and oppression
-Demonstrates that we are not alone
    Calls for permanent vigilance

At the nearby Westermarkt 9 you'll find Pink Point. a small Gay information center.

Favorite thing: Please note that the Homomonument is _in front_ of me; the Homomonument _is not_ me.

The memorial - a three-sectioned pink triangle - is located on the west side of the Prinsengracht at the Westermarkt. It's said to be the oldest memorial to gay and lesbian people in the world - unveiled in 1987.
