Gay Pride, Amsterdam
For the second time i went to the Gaypride, the weather was just great. After lot's of rain it seems to turn to a real summer. Due to the nice weather it was also very crowded in Amsterdam.
The Canalparade is mostly a happy and colourful parade of boats with music and lot's of people looking, dancing clapping and more.
The canalparade is part of the Gaypride which this year took place from july 29 to august 5.
This year there was some extra attention towards the violence against gay people a few of the 72 large boats carried serious messages with them.

Amsterdam Gay Pride Festival is held each summer the first weekend in August. This is great for gay and straight people alike! There are lots of street parties and on the Sautrday there is a boat parade through the city with lots of funny looking queer folk! We didn't even realise it was going on until we arrived in Amsterdam and were glad we decided to visit that weekend. Lots of photos will follow in my travelogure scheduled September/October!
