Club 11, Amsterdam
It is on the 11th floor of an old building in the city centre.
You have to walk through these old grounds, preferably not on your own. It is a bit weird when you go in. You have to get a lift up to the club, but there are murals of naked women to amuse you until the lift comes down for you.
I was facinated with their ladies toilets though.
Now as for these toilets.... i could not resist taking a pic of them - how gross is it that you have to go to the toilet and share a cubicle with a complete stranger!! I think there was a sign saying the double cubicle was to discourage drug use, but that doesn't really make sense - everyone knows women cannot go to a pub/club toilet on their own ;-)
There is also a blackboard up in the ladies that you can leave a message on. If you can look closely at the pic I have of it (3rd pic of this tip), you can see my message:
"Orla was here - Club 11 Amsterdam 1/4/06 - VT!!!"
.... just spreading the word! :)
Dress Code: Only if you're young, hip and beautiful - I still got in though ;-)
If you are a clubber, I'm sure that you've heard that the 11th floor of the Post CS building has become a hot destination, especially on the weekends. But I went with my friend in the middle of a Sunday afternoon and we found a lot of families hanging out, children playing, kid dancing to "spacy music," young adults "chilling" with a coffee or a beer.
Dress Code: Dutch style whatever
Club 11 is a cool nightclub beside Central Station yet far away enough for tourists not to see it. Its a cool place with electro dj music, cheap entry and drinks but the best part is it is on the 11th floor of a building, in a huge room with 4 glass walls giving a great panoramic veiw of Amsterdam .
Dress Code: Wear what you like.
a club on top of the city's modern art museum! situated on the 11th floor it's a refined cafe/restaurant during daylight hours & a great club weekend nights!! good mix of electro & views!!
