    Rookies Coffeeshop

Pretty good-sized coffeeshop that also sells alcohol and has a real good vibe. Cool place to meet people with lots of tables and one pool table however it is usually so crowded you can never get on it and sometimes it is hard to find an empty table.

Rokerij Leidseplein: You should start here!

OK, in case you don't know what a coffeeshop is in Amsterdam it is, well, where you can buy marijuana legally. To have coffee please walk by and go to a 'cafe' or 'coffee house' instead :)

Rokerij at Leidseplein is a very good looking coffeeshop. It looks more like a nice jazz lounge, different than other places that look more like a bar.
Dark wood, dim lights, chill lounge music all helps to make this place a really cool place to just mellow down and relax.

The patrons are a mix of different types of people, tourists, students, people coming here after work, overall a nice mix.

    Rokerij

De Rokerij tranlslated from Dutch means The Smokery. Famous for it's really slow moving fans, great pot, and friendly staff, the place is very cozy and it is a great place to chill and zone out.

    The Rokery (De Rokerij) coffeeshop

This is a great little coffeeshop that's off-the-beaten path and definitely not filled with a bunch of your fellow tourists, like the bulldog or grasshopper...

The low lit amber glow beaming from candles on wrought-iron candlesticks helps set the mood. The decor is somewhat gothic and almost made me feel as though I was smoking in church, which was a little weird, but a good feeling all the same.

Gotta check out de Rokery on Langeleidsedwarstraat. Its a great place to go for a cup of java during the day, or a beer at night. Great artwork. There are numerous Rokerys in the Dam, but this one tops the rest
    People, art, setup

Dress Code: Yeah right.....it's Amsterdam. Remember that there is always one odd ball on the bus, look around, see any? If not it's you. Well in this town if it's you, then you're probably one screwed up individual and will stay in Holland for the rest of your life.

I would not specify the daily hour for this activity. The hour is not irelevant (when is it open)for you if you want to get stoned at Rokerij coffee-shop, or any other spot of this kind.
The Rokerij is the coolest plaace I have visited in Amster. The stony chairs covered with furs, the dim light in the whole place and the 'magic box' at the entrance, where you caan buy the 'sweets'. The prices are O.K. From 11 to 20 Glds. Cool music? No problem.

Dress Code: You cannot miss it.You must not!!!!
