Many Amsterdammers like to spend a warm summer’s day on the sandy expanses of the North Sea coast. The seaside resorts of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal are very popular, and both can be reached easily by train or bus.
Bloemendaal aan Zee has some of the more trendy beach pavilions – varying from the bohemian Woodstock 69 to the elegant Bloomingdale. Every Sunday afternoon the beach transforms into an open-air club. Various DJs get everyone dancing against the glowing backdrop of the setting sun. This beach draws a trendy young crowd.
TIP: visit Bloemendaal during a midweek day or on a Friday evening. It is less busy then, and you can enjoy an affordable meal, sip a glass of cool rosé and watch the sun set over the water.

During the summer time the beach is like every other beach,full of people.but this summer we weren't lucky,because it was rainy and so cooooold.but anyway it's good to go there,it's just a 10 minutes driving from amsterdam.at least you can have a lunch or dinner in some of the restaurants.they have great fish :)

Take a day and a quick train trip from A'Dam Centraal through Haarlem & Overveen to the beach at Zandvoort.
If you are lucky and the weather is as beautiful as it was for me, you will enjoy it very much.
On the train back you can:
wish you had a house in Overveen;
then stop in Haarlem for an excellent steak dinner at Wilma and Albert's & a side trip to Willie Wortel's.
An excellent day trip to escape Amsterdam for a change of pace.

Noordvijk is a small beach town thirty minutes outside Amsterdam. Acute little golf course, bars and some shopping are to be experienced ,in this quaint Dutch town. But, don't be fooled by the quiet streets. Nighttime is a totally different expewrience. The bars get crowded and loud , and the dancing is soo much fun... You should check it out if you have the time.

Take advantage of the plethora of Beaches in the Netherlands. In the summer, they are usually very busy and filled with tourists, but in the fall and spring, they are often very quiet and beautiful.
You can easily travel by train (Zandvoort) or train and bus (Scheveningen by Den Haag). It is well worth the trip. The small pavillions along the beach open late spring, and are usually still in operation til mid September.

Although Holland does not have the world's most beautiful beaches, it can be good fun. It seem to be always crowded whenever there is a ray of sunshine.

The North Sea. When the weather is warm there are hundreds of bars and restuarants along the beach, not to mention lots and lots of people. And some in their birthday suits!

During summer you should visit the beach, you can either go to Zandvoort or to Bloemendaal at the Sea. Zandvoort is more for families, Bloemendaal at the Sea is more for youth (louder music)
