Street Art & Graffiti, Amsterdam
I take pictures of these kinds of creations in every city I visit. This one is a huge snake at the façade of whole building. It was colorful and attractive, although I haven't noticed it since I walked the sidewalk across the road.
It was on the Spuistraat.
There is so much to see in Amsterdam but when you walk around a little bit you can see things most people don't see.
One day I walked around and not far away from the center of Amsterdam I saw these funny statues of these animals which are similar to the Komodo dragons.
It seems the pigeons near these animals aren't afraid at all ;-)
Certain streets have artwork displayed. Its easy to miss, and sometimes the artwork was done by children. Also, in the past two months I've noticed blue boxes near a construction site. They were built into the fence. These small shoebox size boxes have a "window" you can look in, and inside contains various scenery. Its a nice surprise to come across, and adds to the charm of the city.
Just a little Amsterdam housboat with trees reflected in canal (the Singelgracht) with a little bit of "artistic" graffiti thrown in to complete the scene.
I can't recall what side street this photo was taken on, but I believe it was a news publishers' office.
Just a nice pic...
