The Aneka Rasa was a good find near our hotel The Prins Hendrik. It probably serves the same food as the many other Indonesian restaurants throughout Amsterdam, but we quite enjoyed what we ordered.
As I'm from South East Asia originally, I can say that the food is not what you would find at home... however, it was pretty darned good!
The waiters were efficient and friendly, and helped us with planning our exploring of the city the next day as well.
Favorite Dish: The lamb rendang was quite good.
This is an Indonesian restaurant with a great cozy atmosphere. The prices were just right and the food was incredible. (Soups, appetizers, you name it!). I apologize for not getting a picture of this place but it's very easy to find.
Favorite Dish: I had the 'Ayam Besengek' which was chicken cooked in a saffron/coconut sauce and Elisabeth had the 'Tempe Bumbu Kuning,' a dish consisting of spicy soy bean sauteed in a great saffron sauce. Both were mouth-watering!
