In 2011 Dante changed owners and was remodeled into a New York brasserie.
The old art-deco elements stayed and complemeted with marble table tops, wooden chairs and Chesterfield benches.
Meat is prepared on the classic grill.
The restaurant has entrances at both the Spuistraat and the Singel canal.
At the Singel side you can chill in the lounge.

Dante is a lively restaurant in the Spui area. It has tables indoors but the best ones are outside (weather permitting) either on Spuistraat for people watching or on the other side on Singel street overlooking the channel for a more romantic setting. Good service, tasty food and reasonable prices.
Favorite Dish:
Tagliatelle - Varkenshaasje
The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside because it was a little chilly. The decor was kind of dark and cozy. The upstairs gallery also adds to the feel.
Favorite Dish:
Tomato soup is delicious! In fact, we went there specifically to get the tomato soup, which my friends had eaten before.
