Brouwhuis Maximiliaan Brew pub with a wonderful menu. Try the Maximator.
I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. It was covered with blue cheese dressing which I'm not normally fond of but it was delicious! Of course, the french fries with mayonaisse were awesome! and the beers mmm Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Kloveniersburgwal 6-8Other Contact: Telephone:020-6266280

De Beiaard is the name of a group of bars in Amsterdam, Enschede and Hoorn that specializes in beer., unlike most other bars in Amsterdam where they'll serve you crap like Amstel and Heineken. De Bekeerde Suster is the name of one of their bars in Amsterdam. This one is different because it has its own brewery. When I was there I could only taste one of the beers, a white beer called Witte Ros. The other beer is available in the Autumn. My verdict about Witte Ros is; a refreshing beer, superior to most other beers in its category, perhaps second only to Ouwe Daen from Utrecht. But, it's expensive. 2,80 euros for a glass of white beer is simply ridiculous. The other beers on the list are also extremely unfriendly priced. Add to that that this place seems to attract noisy groups of drunken Englishmen on stag parties and my advice can only be: go here to try one Witte Ros, then go elsewhere. An old restaurant, pub and brewery. Have a taste of one of the local brews.
Stamppot. This is the traditional Dutch food, specially for the cold winter month. It is a bit greasy, but gives you the energy to go out on cold and rainy days. Leave a Comment
