by Yosemite_44 Amsterdam ArenA This state-of-the-art stadium was opened in August 1996 and was the first stadium in the world with a retractable roof. Soccer club Ajax and American football team Amsterdam Admirals play their home games in this stadium. It is also the stage of many other events, mainly concerts. In July, the world's largest indoor rave Sensation will be held here. Leave a Comment

by BlueBerry_7 When one approaches the Amsterdam Arena it is hardto imagine that a century ago Ajax played soccer on a barren little The small Pitch . Ajax has always been closely associated with the places where it played its matches. The history of the four Ajax stadiums is the main thread running through the history of the club. In total Ajax moved six times and each move represented a new beginning, a new era, as each move brought new success and each new stadium was bigger and more impressive Leave a Comment

You can visit one of the best football clubs in the world, Ajax Amsterdam. The tour includes a visit on the same playground, and you can take pictures from it. It's worth to visit the museum, included on the tour, the security office, where they control the cameras around the stadium, and sit down where VIP's are watchig the game.

Amsterdam ArenA by Jarin This stadium opened its doors in August 1996 and counts almost 52.000 seats. AJAX is the resident team of this stadium. The surface area of the stadium is 35.000 m2 and the stadium is the first in Europe, which had a sliding roof. The roof can be opened or closed within 35 minutes. The roof is split in two large moving panels, each 40 x 118 mtr with a weight of 400 tons. In the same complex you can find also official Ajax Fanshop / Ajax Museum. In the very near there are total 7 parking lots (parking buildings) for 9.000 cars 170 busses, this is incl. the own parking lot under the ArenA (2.000 cars). Leave a Comment

by bonio A visit to the Amsterdam ArenA is a good idea. It's an excellent new stadium that Ajax play soccer and Amsterdam Admirals play American Football in. I think it's not too easy to get Ajax tickets but no problem for the Admirals. We saw a game against Frankfurt Galaxy, the atmosphere was brilliant and Kurt Warner was QB for the Admirals. Leave a Comment Directions: The underground direction to Gein, station to get off is Bijlmer, will get you there. It's about 15 mins from CS and the train is very busy-- go early, there's plenty to do at the stadium.

Hiding behind some bars by neilward This place is huge, you can see it from quite some distance. Its very easy to find and everyones very helpful there. In The Transferium ( Park and Ride) underneath the stadium theres a huge car park, when you park there take your ticket to the help desk and they`ll give you 2 free return metro tickets to the city centre.the nearest tram stop is Amsterdam Biljner, only 5 minutes walk away. Amsterdams only 15 minutes away by metro. Leave a Comment
