Hash Marihuana Hemp Museum, Amsterdam

This museum tells about the history and use of cannabis and hemp. Not only about the drug, but also the production of paper and textiles as well as its medicinal benefit.
It also explains the process of producing hash and marijuana and the various rolling and smoking methods.

This shop window belongs to the SENSI SEED BANK GROW SHOP which is located next to the Hemp Museum.

It you can see, everything you need to grow tour own hemp is there: books from all over the world, the ingredients you need and....people will help you and know the answers to all your questions!

This is only the shop window: do go inside and get accustomed to all there is to see, read and smell!

This Museum we visited while in Amsterdam for the VT meeting of March 13th 2004.

Of course we had been there before but to some VT members it was unknown or they had heard about it but who can believe that it exists without having seen it??

Well, here it is......a permanent exhibition about the HISTORY and USE of CANNABIS around the world.

I stopped in here to see what all the hype was about. It was very interesting how hemp produces so many purposefull products and used for many years. In the back room there is a grow room and sitting in there was Dr.Vaporizer (sorry, I can't remember his name) but he is a activist promoting the healthful uses of marijuana smoked.

Details the 8,000-year history and many uses of cannabis and hemp, including the production of paper and textiles as well as its medicinal benefit. Visitors can observe dozens of varieties of marijuana cultivated in optimal conditions.

Commercial but interesting..

The musem was a bit interesting but it's their garden that's so fun to look at. Pictures say so much more than words.

Whilst in amsterdam you must visit this museum , it has great info and history relating to this popular plant dubbed the evil weed.
