We didn't have time to explore the Rijksmuseum but it's even worth visiting to appreciate the architecture. Centraal Station was designed by the same architect, P.J.H. Cuypers.
The museum was closed as you can probably tell by the barriers so what have i got to say about it?
Not much apart that it looks nice from ouside.
The Rijksmuseum’s main building is under restoration. However they are showing The Masterpieces of the Golden Age in the Philips Wing. The Dolls’ Houses on the ground floor is also a must see.
Kind of a Dutch national museum with a lot of Rembrandt, including "The Night Watch." Not as big as it looks as I understand there is some renovation but still worth the time.

however heard from friends that .. it is interesting..
